So I thought with everything I am trying to do, and those who also want to do similar things, I would start a blog to try and keep things together and easier to find, rather than scrolling and scrolling trying to find things again on Facebook.
This week was one of those things that I know others have asked me about, and believe me, even though I accomplished it this weekend, that is not a normal event to make 18 crock-pot dinners at one time. I kept seeing this post about 20 Gluten Free Crock-Pot Meals from Costco for $150. I thought no way!
No after my shopping trip at Costco, I did not do a break down, so I cannot give you an exact cost, but can say for almost 3 weeks worth of dinners, I spent less than I would normally for two weeks. so that is a huge plus for me!!

Below are the recipes I used and the shopping list. I will say we were short two recipes, if you go back to Gluten Free Slow Cooker Freezer Packs, you will see all the recipes. We didn't do the Chicken Tortilla Soup because by the time I got to those packs, I was out of chicken. So next time I will buy either more chicken, or make sure I weigh everything out. I do like bringing left overs to work for lunch, so I will probably end up buying a little extra to make the meals bigger.

The shopping list was provided on the site:

Now that being said. They did not list anything else you might need or want in the shopping list. Like some of the meals will need a side or something for them to go over. Like some brown rice, rolls, or maybe even a nice side salad.
So keep that in mind if you do this and make sure to add to your shopping list what you might want to go with your meals. Also, look through the recipes to make sure you have the other ingredients like coconut milk, or spices that they call for.

Below are the recipes I did make.

Now, this was my first time doing this, so I just went down the list and had two bags for each recipe as I was going. I am sure if I split the meat up first, I would've realized I shorted myself on chicken for the one recipe and been able to adjust since nothing else would've been added. I will have to see about splitting meats up first next time. Or maybe I will split up the veggies first etc, meats, then broths.

This is what I ended up with, and so far we have used two of them and we have been pretty happy. Adjust any and all spices/recipes to your families taste. For instance I didn't buy coconut milk, because I simply used the recipe list, and we are not big curry fans. So I just used some broth and then creole seasoning for the Sweet Potato Chicken Curry. Have fun and enjoy!

 Thank you $5 Dinners!
